A guide to Saab’s graduate recruitment process

Saab Australia

Curious what to expect when applying for the Saab Graduate Program? Have a read through of this article for some step by step guidance on how we structure our campaigns recruitment and selection process.

1. Online Application

Commence filling out your online application. Share your CV, cover letter and academic transcript with us. We want to know all about you, from your relevant experience to your hobbies and why you are seeking to join the Graduate Program.

2. Shortlisting

Our recruitment team will be busily reviewing applicants and determining a shortlist to progress to the next step. If you are shortlisted after the review process, our team will make contact via email to inform you about the next stage.

3. Online assessments

Shortlisted candidates are welcomed to showcase their skills through a series of tailored online assessments. These exercises are designed to delve deeper into your capabilities, personality traits, and readiness for the role.

4. Connecting face to face

Select candidates will be invited for a face-to-face interview at SA, VIC or WA offices, or virtually if you are interstate. Our interview panels generally consist of two to three people and are made up of a mix of technical SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and Talent Acquisition personnel.

5. Pre-employment checks

Candidate's progressing to the final stages in the recruitment process will be asked to provide proof of Australian Citizenship, evidence of qualifications / academic transcript and two referee contacts.

6. The Offer

Successful candidates will then be verbally offered a position within the graduate program, and will be advised of the relevant terms and conditions by a member of our talent acquisition team. Once the verbal agreement is reached, a letter of offer will be sent to outline the T&Cs further and seek a formal acceptance back in writing.

7. On-boarding into Saab

Prior to your official start date, we will keep you engaged through various networking events and program updates. There will also be some final compliance steps where we will conduct police checks and initiate your defence security clearance process. Your journey with us begins before you step through our doors, and we are thrilled to have you on board!

Recruiters tip: We pride ourselves on being a responsive team and welcome any enquiries to our Careers Mailbox for updates throughout the process.
