Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
The people are welcoming and friendly. Most Partners will give you their time and invest in your develop. There are various social events on throughout the year.

Corrs' culture is fantastic. In addition to the strong commitment to learning and development, the firm has a strong culture of being incredibly friendly, supportive and encouraging. Socialising is encouraged with free daily breakfasts, monthly office drinks and more regular informal opportunities to socialise within and across practice groups. The firm has a flat structure, and I work very closely with partners on most matters, receiving extensive feedback and support. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork and collegiality.

In a work context, the culture is good. Juniors are always able to ask their seniors questions or ask for help/feedback. Seniors are always receptive to juniors' experience and any capacity issues. Further, they are also very generous with their time should I ever need to talk to them about non-work related things (e.g. rotation choices). A lot of the times, seniors and juniors work collaboratively rather than it being an express delegation. In addition to the above, another major strength is, I would say, that the work delegation is not hierarchical or siloed. There are instances where I work with my mentor partner one-on-one. At the same time, I am also able to work in a team of 2-3 SAs or Associates. Further, I am also able to work for a team or partner outside my normal group if I express interest in the work they are doing. Non-work related culture is also good, I believe. We have regular (outside of office hours) events for the entire office that are non-mandatory but are widely supported. It is gratifying to know that there is a forum to chat and catch up with other colleagues in a relaxing environment and without any regard to work or seniority differences. Office members also regularly participate in community and charity events that are organised in-house.

While I do feel like it is better than some firms, I do have a problem with the culture surrounding hours and billables. Socially, though, the culture is great. My team has drinks weekly, the office has social and community events monthly, and there are always good opportunities to have fun.

The culture is highly collaborative as junior lawyers are encouraged to express their opinions and become involved in good work. There is a good level of socialisation amongst colleagues.

Culture is fantastic. There are lots of events for juniors to attend to network and socialise with other lawyers and partners. Cooperation and collaboration are big focuses for the firm. You work closely with lawyers in other teams which is fantastic to build your professional network.

The culture in office is good. People are there to put their heads down and work but it is also collegiate and sociable. - The working hours can often be long but we are also encouraged to have a life outside of work and leave early when we are not very busy. The firm makes a real effort to organise social events, both for graduates, specific teams and firm wide. - The workplace is very hierarchical but that is typical for law firms. Some senior partners are unapproachable and can be difficult to work with. Younger partners are far more approachable and happy to engage in more informal ways. - The firm puts a huge emphasis on teamwork which is a real highlight of The job. Whenever I have a question, I can ask someone who will be more than happy to devote a great deal of time to discussing an issue in depth.

Very hierarchical and there is a sense that ability to become a partner by working up the ranks is limited. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and some teams organise a lot of out-of-hours activities whereas others are far quieter.
