Purpose is at our core. We create lasting impacts with our clients, our people and our communities. Our teams collaborate and deliver to our Purpose, and consistently work to embed our values into everyday actions. Clients rely on our expertise and insights. They value our responsive, creative and commercial approach. We are curious by nature, diverse in our disciplines and authentic in our relationships.

Diversity and inclusion is at the core of our Purpose and informs the way we work with each other, our clients and in the community. We know that when we bring together diversity of thinking, skills, experience, gender identity, backgrounds and orientations, we get better results.

We are recognised as Australia's Most Attractive Firm, a WGEA Employer of Choice for Gender Equality in Australia and we hold Gold employer status with the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI).

We make diversity in all its forms central to collaboration. This is why we offer hybrid working options to encourage balance, wellbeing and support for sustainable ways of working. We offer up to 20 weeks paid parental leave for the primary carer within the first 24 months following birth or adoption, and a range of social, financial and health benefits, including free gym membership – all with no minimum tenure.

We welcome applications from people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, genders (including if you identify as transgender or gender diverse), sexual orientations, as well as people living with a disability or who have family or carer responsibilities. We particularly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to apply for roles with MinterEllison.

Recruitment Process

Step 1: Attach CV and optional Cover Letter

Step 2: After screening the CV and Cover Letter, if the applicant has the relevant experience, we will proceed with phone screening.

The phone screening will take approximately 15-20minutes.
It will be with the recruiter for the role.
The wait time to be informed if they are successful after screening will be 1-2 weeks max.

Step 3: After phone screening, we require candidates to progress to the next stage of the process by completing a video interview.

They will receive a separate e-mail invitation from HireVue outlining instructions for completing this video interview for a role at MinterEllison.

To assist in preparing for your video interview, we have included the following tips:

  • Make sure you have tested your device's video interviewing capability, and make sure your speakers and video are working
  • Ensure the lighting is correct - try to sit with the light facing you
  • Set up your device in a quiet area away from noise and ensure you don't get interrupted
  • Your response time for each question will be capped, as we will be assessing the quality of your responses versus the quantity.
  • This interview can be completed in your own time, on your device or computer as it is a pre-recorded interview. Please complete this at your earliest convenience, so we can progress your application to the next stage.

If due to a disability or impairment you require any assistance to complete the video interview, please click on the 'special accommodation' button on the HireVue platform.  If you are still unable to complete the video interview with these adjustments please contact us to discuss.

Step 4: After the Hiring Manager reviews the CV, Cover Letter, Phone screening and Video Interview, we will invite you for a first-round interview.

Step 5: After a successful first-round interview, you will be asked to be invited for a second and final interview

Step 6: Reference checking will be completed via XRef.
