What Graduates Say About Them
  • Inclusive and flexible work culture - as a graduate, I was treated as an important core team member from the beginning and allowed to participate and learn in many big projects.
  • The people, constant support, great opportunities. A great emphasis is on being involved in various groups, activities, and events outside your day-to-day work.
  • It is an awesome company culture with many opportunities for me to upskill, volunteer and get to know other people from different business units. We can also work from home 2 days per week, a lifesaver.
  • Working at Optus within the graduate program has been an incredibly positive experience. The close-knit community of fellow graduates offers a supportive environment for addressing shared concerns and enjoying achievements, reminiscent of the camaraderie often found in a university setting. The campus creates a pleasant work atmosphere with its green spaces and various dining options. Optus has a culture that fosters innovation and provides ample support, especially for graduates. The rotation system in the graduate program offers diverse experiences and networking opportunities, making it a valuable introduction to the professional world.
  • The company highly values early career talent and has the resources to transition graduates from university to full-time work properly. I have gotten the opportunity to work on business-critical projects, and meaningfully contribute to outcomes while being exposed to best practices.
  • Due to its size, it can be hard to figure out different areas of the business I would be interested in as a graduate rotation.
  • Due to how big the company is various procedures in place aren't always convenient.
  • Layers of approval are needed to get something done.
  • The fact that we are a large organisation can sometimes mean things are a bit clunky and hard to make some key changes. Of course, there are many more agile and optimisation-type changes, but some larger processes can be difficult.
  • Location outside of the CBD.
