After one of our co-founders lost his best mate to suicide in 2015, it became abundantly clear to him that there was a significant lack of understanding around what mental health means in this country. It also became clear that help-seeking behaviour, particularly among men, is something that needed to be drastically addressed and changed.
Our loud and vibrant work shirts act as a catalyst for starting conversations around mental health, a topic that has otherwise remained elusive in conversation.
By taking slightly more fun and light-hearted approach, it is our goal to drastically change the perception of mental health and to allow people to talk more openly about their different experiences.
In doing this, we are driving the much needed social and cultural shift in attitude around this topic and effectively making it easier for anyone to address their struggles before they snowball into much bigger problems.
We are of the belief that 'previous work experience' does not outweigh work ethic, attitude or commitment to a cause. We look for candidates that are passionate about working within a business that has a direct, positive impact on an issue that can no longer be ignored - suicide. Australia has one of the highest suicide rates in the world, and we truly believe we have a way to make a dent in that stat and bring it down significantly. We believe we'll do this by getting those that don't usually talk, to talk. Talking leads to action, and action leads to more positive outcomes and interventions.
We are always scouting for roles across the following sectors - design, marketing, operations, backend system administrators and psychologists.
